Review of World of Warcraft

This epic fantasy game, is nothing but boring. There is so much to do, from being PVE, PVP, and Role Playing. Personally I like the competitive side of it the PVP aspect, though I am no good at it like some people I see, I still do love killing some Horde every once in awhile. I must admit though, Horde is smarter than Alliance when it comes to PUG's (Pick-up Games) in battlegrounds.

The instances in this game are great plenty of quests and plent of experience from the quests, I enjoy doing instances especially the end game ones. The only downfall to the end game instances is you need 40 people to complete it, like Molten Core. So you need to get a good guild to further your adventures into Molten Core and get your good items :) Currently I have trouble finding a good guild that is organized and does MC (Molten Core) alot. This game has been good since the get go, no game can match this. I see many comments about the cartoonish graphics, in a way I agree I like the real sharp and good looking graphics like Everquest. But it fits the style of the game and Everquest 2 has nothing on this game. World of Warcraft just keeps getting better they add new things every month and change the graphic settings on epic sets.

I currently play a level 57 Rogue, so far I have enjoyed the game so much. In my opinon there is no "best" class every class can be beat and that is what Blizzard is known for balancing games. Like Starcraft, Diablo and Warcraft they are extremely balanced. In my mind a Rogue can beat any race in a certain situation just depends on how you play and the gear you have. But that being said any class can beat a Rogue in a certain situation. And thats what I love about this game, the good thing about a Rogue is the suprise attack you should always get the first shot on an enemy. Which is a huge advantage. Anyways I am bored at work, so thought I would write this. It is a great game, go out and buy it its well worth the 15 bucks a month.

Excellent game for casual or hardcore gamers alike

I start by saying that this is probably the best MMORPG I have ever played. Now granted, games like Everquest 1 are classics, and you can't really compare the two, because comparing them today simply isn't fair. The only issue with this game whatsoever is there is no roleplaying aspect unless you play on an RP server. The graphics are totally different than any other MMO out there. When I first played the game (at release) I had some issues adapting, but I think it was a risk that paid off on Blizzard's end. In comparison to EQ II, quite frankly, WoW is much better. Blizzard, unlike SOE and many other MMO developers, understand the concept of fun. The only penalty for dying is the decay of your items. I think that's a good idea. I mean dying shouldn't make you lose levels or tons of experience. You respawn at the nearest graveyard. Another good thing is, the rested experience system (which SOE, quite frankly, stole the idea and put in Everquest 2)

Gaming is about fun factor, and it shouldn't feel like you are going to work when you play a game. Blizzard understands this, and with that understanding, delivers an excellent MMO that almost anyone can pick up and play right off the bat, with about a thirty minute learning curve. Another very cool think about this game, is that fans of the Warcraft universe (Warcraft I, II, and III) will notice so many references and tie-ins. World of Warcraft is the MMO to play, no matter who you are.

It's OK... but thats it....

I played for 6 months before canceling my account. I enjoyed it at times until it became apparent that it is definately NOT for people that only play 2-4 hours a day; DEFINATELY NOT for player who don't play every day. You will be left in the dust.

All of the "quests" are grinding quests (hacking up monster after monster for no apparent reason)to gain insanely rediculous items that not every monster has. "collect 10 goblin ears for me" you go out and hack up goblins, yet only about 1 in 5 goblins has ears... the rest are deaf I guess. Needless to say, this can become VERY tedious and boring. Or worse yet the quest is to talk to someone in a far off area, that will take you 20 minutes (REAL TIME) to get to. ugh!

Waiting to enter a dungeon is also a mind numbingly horrible problem. I waited 2 hours one time just to get a group together to enter a dungeon. What a waste of time; I could have been playing a better game with better results.

My last problem is just a personal one... The game is full of L337 d00dz... who actually type like that. I understand that this is a culture thing and that is how it goes, but it was the same on the Role Play servers.

If you want to play a game that is all about grinding away levels and the main goal of the game is just to gain levels. Then buy this crappy game.

If you enjoy the thrill of actual adventures and quests (like I do), buy something else.
