I always use the Canon brand for the best results. Better than the discount brands Much to my dismay, this more expensive branded ink works considerably better than the inexpensive stuff. I've tried both -- the knock off brands tend to run a little more, and they also smudge when they get at all damp. The Canon inks print more crisply and hold onto the paper better. For draft printing, the knockoffs are fine, but otherwise, go with the Canon inks. Fine It's ink. Nothing special except that my printer is great so I guess the ink is too...
