Great gadget to have!
I use this product both at home and at work. It's nice to be able to connect all of the computers throughout the house using this adaptor. It also works great in the school where I teach. All of the computers in the building are connected to the internet through the linksys adaptors. I haven't had any problems yet.
Adventures in wireless
After numerous problems with getting the Linksys service and XP's Wireless Zero service to play nice, I finally got this device to work. Here's how: I uninstalled. I unplugged the adapter, got on line with a cable, and plugged the adapter in. I let Windows search for software online. It downloaded something to the My Drivers folder. I clicked on the wireless icon in the system tray, found the network, and connected. So far, so good.
Best customer support I've ever had
When I hooked up the adapter I couldn't receive an IP from my router, I assumed the device was defective. I spent a day trying to fix the problem. I eneded up calling Linksys tech support and I actually spoke to a human being without waiting. It took about an hour to resolve the problem which was a result of a bad Windows TCP/IP driver install, not Linksys' software or their product. Their support technicians were competent, knowlegeble and helpful, and patient I might add.
The adapter only cost me ~$50 but the support was invaluable!
It is now working great and I am very pleased.
