Customer Reviews The little DVD player that could ! The Cyberhome dvd player seems to be a love it or have it device. People love it when it works and hate it when their unit is a lemon which seems to happen more then it should. I have read people talking about freezing and disc read problems. Let me tell you that if your unit works as it should that this is not a problem. I have gone though about 70 Netflix rented disc many of them badly scratched with hardly a problem. So it seems to be the luck of the draw. I say if you buy the unit and it does not work right have it replaced with another instead of instantly writing the unit off as junk. Chances are the next one you purchase will work just fine. I think the lemons people are seeing are a result of the huge demand of major retailers such as walmart and bestbuy. If you look these things are popping up everywhere and for good reason. For the price this unit has an outstanding picture quality, small footprint, nice design and a great feature set usually not seen in dvd players twice it's price. I am very quality conscious when it comes to the movie viewing experience and after 6 months of ownership I am very happy with the purchase ! Note : While the mini remote is neat, it requires a flat 3v instead of AA or AAA batteries. This can be annoying when you want to watch a movie and your remote stops working. What? I can't hear? If you love to "watch" movies, this DVD player is for you. However, if you also like to "hear" them at the same time, I would spend my $$$ somewhere else. My Cyberhome DVD player's audio went out after 2 months!!! I guess I got what I paid for. I recommend placing your money on a decent name brand instead of this DVD player. so far so good I've had this player for about 1 month now and I am very happy with it. For $46 - $20 rebate = $26 you can't beat this. I would have even been happy paying full price for this unit. It is small so it fits anywhere and it has all the options you need out of a DVD player. Definitely recommend this!
