Another honest review
My views on games are always fair so I say this to be completely firm and honest.
Don't buy this game unless you aren't looking for a MMORPG.
This clearly isn't one. When I tried it out, I wasn't impressed. It was boring. The limited cities. Only encounting other players IN cities. No feel for real growth in my character. No real endgame or set purpose in leveling. Again, this may be good for a quick log on and play but I wasn't even remotedly impressed overall.
Now the graphics are really nice but unless you are seeking a arcade type game. So Id have to say, all the other reviewers are blowing this up more than it is. I found it not fun and rather boring.

As a huge MMORPG fan i have played many games supposedly like this. However the experience was quite different and much better. The choice between PVP and PVE styles of play makes it well worth while for any online gamer. The guild support and team play emphasis work to create a very nice community and an oppertunity to have a lot of fun with this game. The graphics engine is flawless and updates are up to the minute. Arena.net certainly likes to spoil guild wars players with special events and even a lucky interview with the game designers via an npc frog in the main city. For all MMORPG fans, this is a must play. AMAZING!!!!!

I have only played this game for 2 weeks which seems like I have been playing it way longer. Why? because its taking over my life. Everyday after school its on there untill sleep. I just cant help it. But thank god the fun has ended. I have experimented got to max level 2 times done a lot of the stuff and im bored of it in just 2 weeks. The quests are NOT fun and you only do them to get to another area or unlock something. you will have to have LOTS of time to play this game because some of the quests are extremely long and stupid. Pvp and all that stuff is VERY stupid and has no fun whats so ever. The matches usualy end in about 15 seconds. Not enough stuff in the game, Very little choices in armor. Very little choices in what to do in general. Starting a new character is fun all the way up untill you got what you need at level 6 already. Its constantly killing monsters which gets boring after awhile and the quests just dont feel like you are playing with your team. I dont know why but something about it just doesnt feel good. You will constantly run into something that sticks out somewear in the environment or you may get stuck then get trapped by enemies making it impossible to get out. You never actually feel like being level 20 makes you "good" unless you go kill stuff that you had to kill when you were lvl one. If you want a game to just sit and play for a bit short and simple then this is not for you. If you want a game that you have to spend hours to accomplish something "good" then it is for you. Dont get me wrong you will absolutely fall in love with this game if you get it and i do recommend. But after awhile coming onto guild wars isnt exciting anymore. Its your last resort to fun.
So if you do get it I know you will enjoy for awile
It also might just be me getting bored too early. Buddys of mine have been playing it the same ammount of time and still enjoy it so it depends on the purpose. But this is a solid game that you will enjoy.
