The only drawback I've found in several week's worth of use is the previously noted problem with difficulty in getting the cover to remain open. If the speaker is placed on a flat, level surface with no jostling it's not a problem - but it will close partially with only the slightest tap. Great compact size, awesome volume, but some background static These little speakers really pack a punch when it comes to filling my living room with music (I use my ipon nano with it), and the compact size makes it easy to carry around, hide, or place anywhere without it being in the way. The only negative is that I have to keep the cover half closed to keep a constant sound of static down. When I open the cover all the way, the sound of static hangs out in the background of the song unless I set the volume on high. When the cover's half closed, there's no problem and it doesn't even obstruct the sound of the music, so really I'm not that bothered by this little glitch. It might be an issue only with my ipod nano. I dont know if other mp3 players will have the same issue, but otherwise I'm really happy with it. Great sound in an elegant, portable package This was a real hit as a gift. My daughter loved this immediately as a new accessory to go with her iPod. She said she liked the nice design, portable size, and protective cover that allows her to easily put it in her dance bag.
