Customer Reviews Region free is the only way to go I'm not sure what the rationale is for "region codes", but hey - that's not my problem anymore. Get one of these region-free players, and it won't be a problem for you anymore either. GREAT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT THIS TYPE OF DVD PLAYER HAS NO RESTRICTIONS FOR ZONES, THEREFORE I CAN WATCH ALL MY FAVORITE MOVIES NOT AVAILABLE IN U.S. FORMAT WICH CAN BE BOUGHT HERE OR IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY. Good player ... nice features I urchased this DVD player to watch non-US region DVDs and our expectations were met in that regard. Nice sleek look, matches VCR and cable box, so that's a plus. The only issue is the sound volume. My old DVD player (which is not by any means OLD) had volume levels that matched the TV level. This DVD player plays volume at a lower volume. Otherwise, nice product.
