Bonus DVD isn't special, but the game is
Because there's so little information available about this game's bonus DVD -- "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Exclusive Movie Trailers" -- this review will clarify what it contains.
The DVD, which comes shrinkwrapped in its own sleeve, holds about 20 minutes of content. The main offerings are the game's E3 2004 Trailer, and its GC 2004 Trailer. The first trailer is about 15 minutes long, relies on subtitles, and highlights the game's plot and action. The second trailer is about 5 minutes long, has English voice acting, and focuses more on plot.
The DVD also contains a Picture Gallery, which shows how characters like Colonel Volgin appear within concept sketches and the game. I only saw the gallery's first screen, though, because my Sony-brand DVD player refused to display other gallery screens. The only other information on the DVD is a simple credits screen. I found no Easter eggs.
Because these trailers can be easily found and downloaded online, I don't recommend buying this product simply to obtain the bonus DVD. But if you're looking for an engrossing and intense gaming experience, you can do no better than the "Metal Gear Solid" games.

I got this game for someone and he said he really loves it.

I have to agree with The Rev on his review. I think most of the people that wrote anything just babbled on about the killing and what not. I for one watched, listened, and read every word to that game. They were trying to take the story much deeper than just the upfront missions. I am glad someone else got the message too. To get the full experience you have to actually watch all the cinematics and pay attention. I know alot of people just skip through them in games because they can get lengthy. Quite often you can predict what they are going to show or say, but I was suprised with this game. Take the time to watch them and there is alot of humor in this game as well. Some of it is just not always shoved in your face, you have to search and play around some. Josh
