Not a bad design.
I guess you can say I have mixed feelings about this case. On the positive side the case is durable and innovative. On the negative side that innovation can be a bother.
The Treo fits sideways instead of your normal vertical fit. This seems strange at first, but the design idea is rather good. Accessing your Treo is as easy as popping open the metal snap and and pivoting your phone by the antenna. Believe me, it's easier and more convenient than it sounds. Some of you will find the horizontal case an akward feel, but if you can get used to it you will end up liking it.
The case itself is very sturdy and feels like it can take a good deal of punishment. The insides are a more solid material, which means the case isn't one of those soft cases that you can squish into your pocket if you're not using it. Think of it as a hard case with a soft covering.
So do I use mine? Not really. It's not because of the vertical strangeness or hard case. It's simply because I learned I don't like using cell phone cases at all. I prefer just putting the darned thing in my pocket. I know... color me strange, but what can I do?
If you want a sturdy and innovative way to hold your Treo this is it. Take it from a non-case user... well... maybe I'm not the one to take advice from considering I'm akin to a hunting advocate who doesn't like the noise of a gun going off. But hey... I did try it.
A gift for my husband and he loves it.
My husband kept dropping his Treo on the floor when it slided out of the loose case it came with and had to carry it in his hand with no safe place to put it. The case works perfectly.
Does the job
Have had other case/holsters for the Treo 650. Others let the phone slip out. This does not. Note, the belt clip does not rotate.
