Customer Reviews

Can you hear me now? Yes!

I can't add to the glowing pros already bequeathed upon this phone by other reviewers. What I can say is that I can finally hear my callers. After a miserable run with various cordless phones (V-Tech, AT&T), I was frustrated because every caller sounded as if he was in a water-filled barrel going over Niagara Falls. But here, the sound is clear as a bell. And that's what it's all about.

Excellent Buying Experience

I ordered the phone on the 6th and it arrived on the 10th. Great phone with great clarity and a call-id display large enough for someone over 50 to read without glasses.

You Get What You Pay For -- Get a Panasonic

Unlike other manufacturer's phones with this feature set, Panasonic is able to deliver on these three important qualities:
1) Clear incoming sound
2) Clear outgoing sound
3) Reliable cordless operation

Reminder: A telephone is a communication device. While I love extra bells and whistles as much as the next tech addict (downloadable ringtones, animated display, sleek, exciting, form factor), a phone has a these primary jobs to do -- allowing me to hear, letting others hear me, and doing both of these while performing reliably.

I have tried to get by for less money with three other 5.8 GHz, multi-handset phone systems from three other manufacturers, and one or more of the above qualities always seems to be lacking. Panasonic may not produce the sexiest phones on the market, but it puts solid engineering into the most essential functions. Uniden, VTech, Motorola, etc. could all benefit from paying a little more attention to the primary utility of a phone.

My quibbles with this phone:
1) When a headset is connected, the microphone volume suffers a little. This is a high-quality headset that has no problems on other phones, but the volume on this phone is reduced.
2) Okay, I really WOULD like more ringtones. There seems to be some confusion on this point, but this phone does NOT allow one to download additional ringtones. That is possible with a similar Panasonic model (KX-TG5433M).
3) The display is readable, but a higher contrast LCD would ease use for people of a certain age.

Complaints aside, this system trounces the competition in performance, and is highly recommended.
