Customer Reviews

Low Audio Volume Makes It a Non-Starter

OK, lots of nice features, but when it comes down to basic functions its unacceptable. Unles you are in an absolutely quiet room (no kids running around, no TV, etc.) the handset volume is too low to hear. The ringer and speaker phone volumes are fine, but not the handset volume. Back it goes...

Finally a good cordless phone!!!

I have tried many cordless phones over the past year with little success until I received the Panasonic. Most reviews were right on and I have been very satisfied.

Pro:
Great range.
Very good sound quality.
Great speaker phone.
Easy to Use.
Long battery life.
Doesn't interfer with my wireless network.

Cons:
As mentioned in most reviews each handsets saves the missed calls which gets a little annoying at times but it does serve a purpose. I can erase all the calls on the 2 handsets I use and my daughter can still see which calls she missed.

I would highly recommend this phone!

meh

The phone isn't anything special. And it's overpriced to boot.

Cons:
-Not expandable

-Range - the phone only held a call to one house down. Using the term "Gigarange" for this phone is giga-misleading

-Caller ID log - each individual phone has it's own log so you always will see missed calls unless you answer a call with all 3 phones simultaneously. Also sometimes it's difficult to clear the missed calls

-No fast fwd or slow-mo(slow-pho?) on the answering machine. It's more of a wish but it's an excellent feature in case you get a call where the person leaving the message is unintelligible

-Mic on the phone isn't very sensitive

-Volume adjustments are limited

-Can't use the speakerphone while the handset is on the charger

-CallerIQ is too much of a hassle and it's not free as far as I can tell

-Sound quality is worse than our 9 year old 900mhz Sony

-Menu navigation is strange

-If you call a number where you have to navigate through menus using touch-tones, the redial will redial the whole string of numbers instead of just the original dialed number. Why? Cell phones don't do this

-The charging bases are lightweight and easy to knock over unless you screw them down

-The TALK (answer) button doesn't light up

-The Voice Enhancer doesn't really improve things

-I haven't been using our wi-fi with it so I can't comment on any interference that way. But it's really no better than our Sony as far as regular intereference goes

Pros
-It uses Ni-MH batteries

-It has a MUTE to mute the mic

-It has a HOLD

-The phone doesn't answer a call when you pick it up off the charger. This is a good thing in case you're screening calls but need to pick up the phone to see who is calling

As you can see, I have more gripes than anything. It's a phone but not worth the price. I was hoping to be really happy with this purchase and just be pleased with all it's features and performance but I'm not. This is the first 5.8GHz we've owned so maybe they all suck.
