| Customer Reviews
book mark The review that says you can bookmark books by turning it off while playing and just pressing play when you resume is wrong, or they skipped a step or something. I have tried this many times and no success.
I still love mine except for that 'problem'.
Nice Player for the Money I just wanted a decent player for working out. I did quite abit of research, and settled on this one.
Pros:
Decent headphones (but I plan to buy behind the neck headphones for the gym), Drag and Drop from windows explorer (aka. just another drive) FM radio reception/quality is decent. Upgradable memory and software Uses standard or rechargable AAA batteries.
Cons: USB port cover (although not absolutely necessary) will get lost.
As far as music management goes I use musicmatch (basic) and auto-dj my whole collection (depending on file size you could select upto 15hrs). Then just export the playlist to the device.
I then just select shuffle on the player and wait to be pleasantly suprised by what comes up.
Some Caveats:
As I ripped my collection to play at through my logitech speakers at work, and did not really care about quality, most of it is ripped at 96kps. This player (and probably any player) makes these files sound somewhat tinny. Ripped the same files at 128kps or using the Variable Bit Rate (VBR) setting, they then sounded just fine. Do not bother with wma files, MS digital rights issues are difficult to deal with, and the encoding algorythm used is inferior anyways.
