IT WORKS IN WAKING ME UP I bought this as an alarm clock first and an iPod speaker second. I used to have an old alarm clock given by my aunt, one of those that you can buy at a flea market, and is very annoying in waking you up. I was RELIEVED to have this as an alarm clock cuz I can use my nice collection of MP3's to wake me up.
I've read the other comments and I do agree with most of them but as long as it WORKS as far as waking me up, I will recommend it. Now, as a speaker for iPod, I will have to say it is average. I can always hook-up my iPod to my Logitech 5500 if I want superior sounds.
The black color matches my black 5th generation iPod. I don't like the selection/turn wheel so i devised and put black velcro on top of it so it is easy to use.
So this product is recommended for those who would want to integrate their iPod with an alarm clock.
Not Worth It Maybe i got a dud, but My iH5 isnt what I was expecting.
I expected that when alarm went off, the volume would slowly fade up to gently wake me. Not so. The volume ramps up very quickly, so that its basically like the thing just comes on full volume.
I expected that the snooze feature would work well. It doesn't. When the alarm initially goes off, Ipod plays just fine. After the first snooze, the buzzer goes off. After the next snooze, the Ipod will play again, after the next, the buzzer goes off, etc. How annoying.
I expected the manual and the buttons to be fairly intuitive. They aren't.
Great IPOD clock radio This is the second IHome I purchased. The first one I got at Costco for my daughter and she loved it. The second I bought online becuase I couldn't find any retailers who carried black. I been using it for about 2 months now with no regerets. Its lets me fall asleep at a low volume and wakes me up at a loud volume that I preset. Best Item I got this Holiday season. Some may have a problem with the single alarm. This was not an issue for me. |
