Great looks or great phone?
I've had my RAZR V3c for about a couple of months. It was love at first sight and I just had to have it. And, yes when people see it they love its slim trim looks and beautiful screen. But now that a couple of months have passed, I realize that's all it has going for it. There is no MP3 player, no memory slot and it has crippled bluetooth. On the other hand, the Motorola E815 has MP3, a memory slot and outstanding reviews from Consumer Reports.
As in all things in life it comes down to a choice. Do I want the one with the great looks but no personality, no intellect and stunted development? Or do I choose the one that has comes with good references, intelligence, a fun personality but just slightly pudgy? I don't know about you. But, as soon as I can I'm dumping the good looker.
Great Phone!!
I recently switched from my LG VX6100 to this phone and I love it. It takes a little while to get used to the keypad and the slim design but after a few days it's no problem. The service and reception is great. I haven't dropped one call yet. I get reception in places where the LG phone wouldn't work at all. After reading the other reviews I saw people complain that the menu is horrible, and the phone doesn't ring and vibrate. If you haven't seen the Motorola original software menu on this phone then it makes no difference. Also I haven't had a phone that rings and vibrates in years so that also did not bother me. I plan on purchasing a bluetooth headset soon and will let you know how it is. Overall this is a great looking and functioning phone. The only slight complaints I have is that there is no flash for the 1.3 megabyte camera and it takes slightly longer to load pictures than my LG (probably because of the higher resolution). I highly recommend this phone to any Verizon customers.
Great phone with Verizon
I have both a Verizon RAZR and a 710 Nextel phone. With Verizon, I don't have dropped calls. I can put the RAZR in my pocket, and I don't feel its weight. The RAZR allows me to walk about with the same feeling I had before cellular phones were invented. It's virtually not there. But it is. It has great battery life. Though small, I can hear everyone without trouble. The speakerphone is loud, though the phone is so small. I haven't dropped the phone, so I can't speak to that issue of durability. I have dropped the Nextel many times, and it continues to work, but I much prefer the RAZR. I am thinking of not using Nextel at all. The durability issue some have raized does make me wonder, but the lightness of the RAZR is the spectacular feeling of having a phone that has just about every feature, but the feeling of not carrying a phone at all.
